Justine Dolan, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Justine is a passionate speech and swallowing specialist with a background in the arts. She studied theater performance at Sarah Lawrence College, and was a guest scholar at Oxford University in England. She studied voice under Enoch Sherman (classical), Georgia Louis (gospel and blues, and Nick Palance (rock and classical). 

Justine worked for 9 years in the corporate world, and decided she wanted a career more directly aligned with her personal value of serving others.  She returned to school to earn her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University in 2005. Justine is a medically-trained speech-language pathologist, providing communication and swallowing therapy to adults in a variety of settings. 

 

Justine opened Neuro Speech & Voice to focus on providing exemplary voice and swallowing therapy to clients throughout the state of California. She has pursued continuing education and advanced training in functional and transgender voice therapy, accent modification, and swallowing treatments to provide her clients the most up-to-date and effective treatment available.

Outside of work, Justine enjoys spending time with her teenage son, hiking, reading, cooking with friends, and caring for her yellow labrador retriever and ragdoll cat. 

Advanced Training & Certifications

  • Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) - A specialized therapy approach to help people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and other neurological conditions improve their vocal loudness and speech abilities.

  • Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImp) - A standardized evaluation protocol for investigating physiologic swallowing impairments.

  • Compton Pronouncing English as a Second Language (Compton P-ESL) - An accent modification program for improving one’s ability to speak clearly and understandably in conversational English, including business, professional, and social situations.
